ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Therapy Manager, our Social Worker is an essential member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. You will:
- Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and craft individualised care plans.
- Provide counselling, crisis intervention and ongoing emotional support to patients and families.
- Facilitate family meetings, discharge planning and smooth community reintegration.
- Advocate for resources, benefits and funding to optimise long-term outcomes.
- Collaborate daily with the interdisciplinary to deliver seamless, evidence-based care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation compliant with SACSSP standards and contribute to quality-improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
- BA Degree in Social Work
- Current SACSSP membership & valid malpractice insurance
- 2-3 years’ experience in a private hospital or Rehabilitation setting (advantageous)

Minimum Salary: R26 464.20 Cost to Company (including benefits)
